What do you get when you combine carnival games, shop a dunk tank, medical and a performance from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony? Why, an NBA birthday bash of course!
Chris Bosh recently celebrated his 30th birthday with fabulous style! Adrienne Bosh threw her hubby a “Cirque du Noir” themed party at Marlins Park. The Miami Power Forward/Center was all smiles in his gold tuxedo jacket and black mask. Many of his teammates were present during the extravagant birthday celebration.

What can I say? The Miami Heat certainly needed a day at the circus. After losing seven out of eleven games, the Miami Heat was able to snag a win against the Portland Trailbrazers on Monday night (93-91).
“It’s always good to have something like [Bosh’s party] in the middle of the season, whether you’re winning or losing,” LeBron James said after the win. “It definitely helps with losing, to get your mind off it.” (ESPN)
Skylar Diggins Stuns for Mark Magazine
Skylar Diggins is one balling beauty that never ceases to showcase her FAB-ness. The WNBA star graces the latest cover of Mark magazine. Diggins rocks a form-fitting Major hit dress that is available on Mark’s Website for $42. Mark is currently celebrating 10 years of beauty, fashion and empowerment. Skylar is certainly making a “mark” in the media!
Diggins was also featured in Vogue magazine in a red zip crop-top and skirt (btw I am doing sit-ups while typing this). The Tulsa Shock point guard says that her “possibilities are endless” as a female athlete.
Dahntay Jones For Ebony Magazine
I have never been jealous of a man’s shoe collection. Well, that was before Dahntay Jones’ Ebony magazine feature. I am not a sneaker head, but I felt a twitch of shoe envy amid the Nike Foamposite kicks, Christian Louboutin, Balenciaga and Lanvin.
As part of its “Sneakerhead Closet Confessions,” the April issue of Ebony magazine gives readers a peek inside of his walk-in closet. His style wonderland features 450+ pairs of shoes. Let me repeat myself. His style wonderland features 450+ pairs of shoes. One day, my heel closet will be on that level. One day.
Paul George’s Leather Ensemble
Not only did Paul George and the Pacers get slaughtered by the Chicago Bulls on Monday, but he also slaughtered 17 cows for his post game ensemble. The Indianapolis small forward/shooting guard recently shared a photo of his all-leather ensemble with his 671K Instagram followers.
After their 89-77 loss, the Pacers have dropped three of their last four games. Ouch. Things are looking quite grim for the Pacers, but at least Paul George is handling business off the court with his daring fashion!
That’s it for now, Divas! I will most definitely be back to give you the hottest news in NBA fashion/gossip. As always, I will keep you fabulously posted!
It was a night of sweet, cheap sweet Central Division revenge for the Chicago Bulls when they beat the front running Indiana Pacers 89-77 Monday night at the United Center. With their pride on the line, ailment the Bulls came out thirsty and gave Indy a physical challenge that the leaders of the East aren’t quite used to.
Just four nights ago the Pacers gave the Bulls a serious beat-down in Indy, sovaldi but last night Los Bulls came out fully charged led by Sixth Man Taj Gibson and a suffocating team defense. Gibson had accused the Pacers of “flopping” after their defeat in Indy Friday and last night he took his frustrations out on the basket. With their win, the Bulls also prevented their divisional foes from clinching the Central Division title.
It may have only been a regular season game, but the intensity of this matchup was through the roof of the Madhouse. This rivalry isn’t going any where any time soon, so who’s ready for another playoff series between the big men of the midwest?
What You Need to Know:
#MCM goes out to Taj Gibson. Monday night was all about Taj, easily a top candidate for Sixth Man of the Year, who dunked all over the Pacers’ big men and was a continued catalyst for his men in red finishing with 23 points and eight rebounds. It seems as though Gibson is like a fine wine, he’s is only getting better with age.
Taj celebrating via @ChicagoBulls Instagram
Paul George led the Pacers with 21 points and seven rebounds and his teammates George Hill (17 points, four assists) and David West (14 points, nine rebounds) contributed with solid play.
Captain Kirk (Hinrich) also provided his Bulls with an offensive pick-me-up scoring 16 of his 18 points in the second half of the game.
Between Carlos Boozer, Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson – Pacers’ big man Roy Hibbert had limited impact under the hoop – which is normally his domain.
The rivalry between these divisional teams is unspoken, neither organization ever openly discusses any “rivalry” but the players have their own agendas. Things got chippy quick between the Bulls and Pacers who both have reputations of being physical teams. David West and Jimmy Butler were called for double technical fouls after a free-throw situation – ugly.
Your Take Away Piece:
“The Bulls aren’t going anywhere without a fight this season. They are resilient and a bit stubborn, but games like Monday night remind us to keep believing in the Bulls because they’re ready to brawl with the best. Indiana has the best record in the Eastern Conference at the moment and it’s highly likely that the Bulls will face the Pacers again on the big stage of the NBA playoffs.”
Chicago Bulls Women’s Red Burrow V-Neck Tee by Sportiqe, Clark Street Sports: $34.99
The Bulls get a three day break before they host the Portland Trailblazers on Friday at 7 PM. With a little less than a month to play in the regular season, every game matters as the Bulls and Raptors are neck-in-neck for the third place spot in the Eastern Conference. Keep the wins coming boys!
This past weekend New Orleans was a fabulous melting pot of hoops and HOT fashion as NBA players, cialis celebrities and public figures alike came together to partake in various Big Easy festivities surrounding the annual All-Star Weekend.
There was so much fashion throughout the weekend that I’ve dedicated the entire Courtside Chic to highlighting some of the best – and worst – looks of the weekend. Let’s get to it. Sprite All-Star Celebrity Game
The festive weekend kicked off on Friday, drugstore February 13th on TNT with the Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, prostatewhere comedian Kevin Hart was voted the MVP for the third consecutive year. He insisted, however, that Arne Duncan take the award because of his impressive double-double performance. The former Chicago Public School CEO definitely schooled everyone on the court with his 20 points, 11 assists and 6 rebounds.
K. Hart was also spotted with Drake, sporting a Yves Saint Laurent top under a black leather jacket. The platinum selling rapper and Toronto Raptors brand ambassador opted for a laid-back look, wearing a Toronto Raptors T-Shirt and a snap-back hat.
Damian Lillard’s Hot Three Piece Suit
Damian Lillard is on fire! Sure, he became the first player to ever compete in five events. I understand that this is a big deal, but that fabulous suit is an even bigger deal! The 2013 Rookie of the Year was seen sporting a ALBA Legacy custom three-piece suit that looked like it was tailored by the gods themselves. The only thing that I love ore than an athlete in a suit…is an athlete in a custom suit.
Lillard competed in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge on Friday, the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, Foot Locker 3-Point Contest and Sprite Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday and the All-Star Game on Sunday.
Chris Bosh’s Clean-Cut Ensemble, Giant Birkin Bag
At the Sear’s Shooting Stars event on Saturday, Team Bosh beat Team Durant and won the event at NBA All-Star Weekend for the second consecutive year. Chris Bosh, along with NBA great Dominique Wilkins and WNBA star Swin Cash finished with a time of 31.4 seconds in the finals, while Team Durant finished with a lagging 43.6 seconds.
The Sears Shooting Stars champ was seen sporting camo pants and a navy blue jacket with a perfectly pressed white button-up shirt. How much do you want to bet that Mario Chalmers is hiding in that giant Birkin bag?
Paul George’s Zorro Inspired Outfit
I was just waiting for Paul George to pull out a sword and use it to formulate the letter ‘Z’. The Pacers guard’s Zorro inspired ensemble was from Phenom 247 Clothing.
Anthony Davis’ Suit and Kicks
Anthony Davis was selected as a replacement for Kobe Bryant this weekend. I must say, he is really starting to step up from his ‘jeans and hoodie’ getup. The New Orleans forward/center styled a tan suit with ‘Olive’ Air Jordan 9 sneakers. By the way…stop making fun of his eye brows. They’re here to stay.
Kevin Durant in Phenom247
Now…you know that I cannot talk about NBA fashion without mentioning Kevin Durant. KD executes effortless style, even in fabulous suits. Here, he rocks two custom Phenom247 suits.
Lebron’s GQ Bash
Guess who is gracing the cover of March’s issue of GQ? It is none other than LeBron James. What better time to celebrate than All Star Weekend? Athletes and celebrities brought their impeccable style to the celebration. Is it me…or does everything seem to be coming up ‘LeBron?’
Even President Obama spoke wonders about James during a TNT interview with Charles Barkley.
“You know LeBron, I know LeBron,” Obama said. “When you’re standing next to him and then watch him close up, I’ve never seen someone that size, that fast, who can jump that high, who’s that strong…Mike [Jordan] will always be the guy for me just because that was a magical moment for the city and he was a champion. But now that he’s retired, LeBron…might be able to play at a high level for another seven, eight, 10 years…” (SB Nation)
Don’t LeBron and Savannah James look like they belong on top of a wedding cake? LeBron rocked a unique turquoise, paisley jacket with black lapels and Savannah looks beautiful and chic in a flower-patterned lace top with long, flowing, black gown.
By the way…is that a baby bump that I’m seeing? When the James’ make their baby announcement…remember you heard it here first!
I still need to think of a cute combo-name for Dwyane and Gabby. Anyway, the recently engaged couple looked Fab in black with Gabby in an embellished black dress and Dwyane in a three-piece suit.
Pharrell’s All Star Sunday Pregame Performance
Ladies and gentlemen…Pharrell’s Hat! Oh, and Pharrell was there too. The hat and the hit-maker gave a wave-making, pre-game performance along with Snoop, Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs and Busta Rhymes.
Kyrie Irving named All-Star MVP
After a close fourth quarter, the East ultimately dominated in a 163-155 win. Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving was named All-Star MVP. The point guard scored 31 points and 14 assists. He did it all in his green Nike All-Star kicks!
Well, I had a fabulous time watching the All-Star events. I’m kind of bummed that it’s over. Nonetheless, I will be back next week to keep you fabulously posted with more NBA Style. Until then, Divas!
The greatest accessory that anyone could ever own is a FAB family. The beautiful Bryant clan is spreading Holiday cheer in purple and gold. The gorgeous couple and their stunning daughters recently struck a pose for their annual holiday greeting cards.
Kobe looks dapper in purple suede (funny, stuff I never thought I’d ever utter those words). Vanessa also looks enviable in her gold wrap gown. The mini-stylistas, viagra Natalia and Gianna look absolutely adoptable adorable in their purple and gold dresses.
Kobe was finally able to hit the court on Sunday after eights months of recovering from an Achilles Tendon injury sustained during last season’s first
round of the playoffs. The Staples Center gave him an elaborate welcome after 8 months of inactivity. The Lakers, however, aren’t exactly raking in wins.
The Lake Show is 0-2 and scoring 21 points fewer per 100 possessions when Kobe is on the court than without him. During Tuesday nights’ game against the Phoenix Suns, Bryant’s performance was–well–humble. Although he displayed a significant improvement, it is evident that the Black Mamba has not shown up yet. Right now, he’s more like the ‘Light-Gray Mamba.’ He scored 20 points with 6 for 11 shooting, 3 assists and 3 turnovers. The Lakers play the OKC Thunder on Friday. Let’s just hope they clean up their defense by then.
Justin Timberlake’s Game Day Gear
Ron Hoskins/Getty Images
Justin Timberlake was in Indianapolis to perform on Wednesday night as part of the 20/20 Experience World Tour. On Tuesday, JT ditched his ‘Suit and Tie’ for a sweatshirt and NBA cap. He was able to watch the Indiana Pacers put in work against the Miami Heat.
Indiana Pacers have continued to prove themselves to be worthy title contenders. After Tuesday’s impressive 90-84 win against Miami, Pacers’ forward Paul George was able to squeeze in a game of H-O-R-S-E with JT.
The sexy soul singer once had dreams of becoming an NBA player (no joke), and during their epic game of H-O-R-S-E Timberlake hit six straight 3-pointers. The Knicks AND the Lakers could use him.
I’m pretty sure that if he was not part owner of the Memphis Grizzlies, one of these teams would have recruited him instantly. We do not know who won that game of H-O-R-S-E, but Justin Timberlake has (once again) won my heart, and the Pacers are winning new found recognition!
Carmelo Anthony Talks New Shoe Designs
After ten years with the Jordan Brand, Anthony unveiled the new design for his signature sneaker, the Jordan Melo M10. The shoe exhibits a mix of style, comfort, and efficiency. The flight plate technology used in this sneaker is perfect for any on-court action. The Melo M10 will be available for $165 (suggested retail) on January 4, 2014. These shoes are the perfect gift for sneaker buffs. They won’t be released in time for the holidays, but it is ALWAYS the right time for presents!
Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks in their win against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night. They almost blew a big lead, but they were ultimately able to steal a ‘W’ for their record. They were up by as much as 23, but the determined Chicago Bulls do not take 20+ point leads sitting down. The Bulls made it as difficult as possible, but New York ultimately took the win. The Knicks are now 6-15. And no. Rajon Rondo will not be a Knick anytime soon.
That’s it for now…but not worries! I will continue to keep you fabulously posted with the League’s hottest stories. Until Next Week, Divas!
The Bulls’ season has been underway for a little over a month now and the game has already taken a serious toll on our emotions. As fans we’re exhausted, remedy so I can’t even imagine what the players must be going through. If you’ve missed Coach Thibodeau’s recent emotional sideline displays, find the Bulls are in a full fledged identity crisis after losing Derrick Rose for the season and sitting 2nd in the Central Division at 7-9.
It’s tough times Bulls fans. November started with the highest hopes, Rose was finally finding his rhythm after a year off the floor and the team was starting to gel again. Then BAM, in the blink of an eye everything plummeted into a devastating black hole. This is the kind of season where you either pride yourself on being a die-hard Bulls fan and stick it out, or perhaps just pack it up until next season.
The Good:Jimmy Butler finally got a haircut.
Other than the Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat the Bulls are competing in a weak Eastern Conference. It’s a blessing and a burden. The Bulls won’t be terrible enough in the conference to “tank” the season and get a top draft pick, but they don’t have enough without Rose to
The Bad: Well gosh, where do I even begin.
It was just a normal game during the yearly Circus Trip where the biggest challenge was Jimmy Butler sitting out with a case of turf toe. Then suddenly Derrick Rose’s right knee buckled in the third quarter and he limped off the TrailBlazer’s court. Next thing we know he needs season ending surgery to repair a torn medial meniscus. And in an instant all the Bulls’ hopes and dreams of an NBA Championship were immediately stripped away.
Losing your franchise player to a knee injury for the second time in less than two years is a bit traumatizing. It’s one thing to go into the season knowing you’ll be without your star player, however losing DRose 11 games into the season after believing he was 100% healthy is near impossible to bounce back from. DRose seems to be on a year-to-year status with the Bulls.
Overall: It’s going to take the Bulls a hot second to shake off the loss of their superstar point guard, regain their composure and buckle up to do what they do best – get back to playing defense. It’s always been about heart hustle and muscle in Chicago.
Luol Deng #9
When in doubt, believe in Luol Deng to show up. Deng is averaging the most minutes per game and leading the Chicago Bulls in scoring. In the month of November Deng averaged 19.1 points a game for the offensive-struggle-bus Bulls. He was picked in the NBA’s “Who’s Hot and Who’s Not” as one of the top three players alongside Lebron James and Paul George (Pacers). Hopefully his time as a Bull hasn’t come to an end as trade rumors have begun to swirl.

It was a win-win kind of weekend for the Chicago Bulls who got back to their streak-snapping roots and pulled off two big blowout wins against the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers.
Despite their healthy roster, pharmacy it has been a rough start overall for Chicago who is still working through the kinks and rust of Derrick Rose’s return to the court. This weekend put the haters to rest and gave Bulls fans a gust of hope with some breakout performances and team defense.
Friday Bulls at Raptors
Bulls were cruising in the 96-80 win over the Raptors Friday night. With Rose on the bench resting his sore hamstring the Bulls played stingy defense and a well rounded offense. Luol Deng led the way with 19 points, but every Bulls’ starter was in double digits.
Joakim Noah finally found his offensive swagger and had his first big offensive game with 18 points. Jo-No missed the majority of the pre-season with a groin injury and needed a few games to find his rhythm again.
Jimmy’s New Hair via ChicagoBulls Instagram
Raptors’ swingman DeMar DeRozan had a career high of 37 points. He dominated the fourth quarter making some outlandish jumpshots, but Toronto had dug themselves too deep of a hole to come back from.
Jimmy Butler showed off his new haircut. The handsome young stud changed up his fro to a more clean-cut style.
Saturday Bulls vs Pacers
STREAK SNAPPED: Going into Saturday’s matchup the Indiana Pacers were the only remaining undefeated team in the NBA. The Bulls, who had already lost to the Pacers earlier this season, said “not in our house.” Chicago not only ended Indy’s nine game winning streak, but they did so in a 110-94 blowout fashion.
Derrick Rosehad his first break-out game of the season with 20 points and four assists and against a tough opponent too (feel free to let out your sigh of relief).
Deng against Pacers via Bulls Instagram
It was a battle between two All-Star small forwards, but Luol Deng (23 pts) took advantage of Indy’s counterpart Paul George (12 pts) who has had a solid start to his season. Overall, the Bulls starters dominated the Pacers big guys.
Carlos Boozer did some pushin-and-shovin against Chris Copeland. They were both ejected with 21.9 seconds on the clock.
The Bulls and Pacers claim there is no longer a team rivalry between the two divisional opponents, but we beg to differ. Things got taken up a notch at the UC and things will continue to get more heated between these two teams as the season goes on.
Your Take Away Piece:
“We witnessed three things this weekend: the Bulls showed off their feisty team defense, they had a resurgence of balanced offense (they surpassed the 100 point hurdle) and DRose got his MVP groove back. I think things are finally coming together for our Chicago Bulls and there’s a lot of great basketball in store for us all.”
