Hello, sickness divas! It’s been a couple weeks since my last SM roundup (school and life got the best of me), and to say our favorite Chicago athletes have been active during my little break, is an understatement.

In the last two weeks we’ve witnessed new babies, birthdays, debuts and much, much more. So, let’s get to it…

One of our favorite Chicago couples, Martellus and Siggi Bennett, welcomed their first child and bundle of joy, Austyn Jett Rose Bennett on March 15. This little beauty’s first name is Austyn, but she goes by Jett.”#jettlife” #LOVE

Siggi has been posting pictures of the beautiful little nugget since Day One, and we’re so happy she’s openly sharing these first precious moments with all of us.

I mean, how adorable is this picture of the Bennett family leaving the hospital?! “Me + @martysaurusrex + Jett = Heaven #jettlife”

Martellus looks like such a happy daddy! “Morning tummy time with Daddy”

Speaking of babies, KCav has been looking fantastic throughout these past couple of weeks. This pregnancy hasn’t slowed Kristin down one bit. Her new show The Fabulist on E!debuted on March 14th and airs on Mondays at 7:30pm CT.  KCav has been showing off her pregnancy looks on the set and hasn’t missed a beat in getting back behind the camera. “This is how excited I am for the premiere of @thefabulist tonight!!! E! 830pm ET 730pm CT”

“Hair by @johnnyfavoy makeup by @williamrmurphy styled by @jessiecohan_stylist dream team baby!!!!!”

“Make sure to check out @thefabulist tonight 830 pm ET 730 pm CT we have the hilarious @juneambrose and charming @jeremiahbrent on!!”

We’ve also kept our eye on Elina Casell Hjalmarsson. She recently posted this picture from her blog, and she’s looking flawless as ever. “New outfit post up on blog #zebra #blog #blogger #devote #pregnant #fashion”

On the 23rd, Brandon Marshall celebrated his 30th birthday. It looks like Michi and Brandon enjoyed a romantic evening on the water.

Stephen Paea’s adorable triplets are getting so big! He shared this picture of his three adorable babies. “Lil iPhone photo-shoot with the babies.”

Kyle Long is still working on his “daddy” with his bulldog Walter. Kyle shared this picture of Walter’s doggy training progress….”Walters first report card…. Explains a lot”

Amanda Bickell tweeted a picture of their pup sporting a Bickell Hawks jersey for the game on the 18th.

That’s all we have for you this week divas. Have a great week and you can catch us back here next Monday!

I knew that Rhi-Rhi was my style muse for a reason. Anyone who reps the Chicago Bulls is alright with me! The pop icon was recently spotted wearing a satin Chicago Bulls Starter jacket. Rhi-Rhi completed the look with a white crop top and a pair of Generic Girl Distressed boyfriend jeans. The FAB Annelise Michelson Carnivore choker adds a touch of edge to the sporty, ask grungy look.

The Chicago Bulls are now second in the Central Division, see and recently served the Philadelphia 76ers their 22nd straight loss. No, find not  2nd. 22nd. Ouch. D.J. Augustin scored 20 points and Taj Gibson had 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 102-94 win. See…this is the dedication that I love. Even without marquee players, the Bulls can still band together and earn a blowout ‘W.’ We’ll see you at playoffs!

Miami’s Raleigh Hotel was recently the land of fabulousness as Express hosted a runway fashion show. The style infused event showcased the pieces from the Summer 2014 collection. Sports Illustrated model and Express  brand ambassador Kate Upton  hosted the show. Miami’s Chris Bosh also made an appearance as well. The 7 foot Forward/Center told South Florida that he fancies Express’ clean-cut look.

“I like the look of EXPRESS. I’ve always like the clean, very fashion forward, mininmal look that they have, ” he said. “When you’re 7-feet, you become a window shopper and you just look and think, ‘Man, I like that. Too bad I can’t get it.’ But I can fit their shirts. At least I can wear the shirts.”  (Southflorida.com)

With Lala Anthony’s busy schedule, it’s a wonder how she manages to stay so fabulous. Ms. Anthony is amazingly managing clothing/cosmetic lines, attending book signings , filming television shows/film and of course running around with 7-year old Kiyan. Who runs the world? Girls. Even in jeans, she manages to slay! The New York WAG recently took to Instagram an showcased her body hugging, Fashion Nova jeans. Winning!

The Anthonys are a winning combination. Lala’s hubby Carmelo is also putting in work at Madison Square Garden. Melo was able to put away 34 points in the 92-86 win. The legendary Phil Jackson was named the Knicks’ President and he was given a warm reception before a home game against the Indianapolis Pacers. It looks like the Phil era is manifesting itself as the Knicks snag their seventh straight win.

LeBron James is no stranger to style…even when he is dressed down. King James recently Instagrammed a photograph of himself and fellow Heat player Mike Beasley.  They both look cool and collected in their snap-back caps and sneakers.  Miami Heat players are always cool and collected. Well…when they are not in Chicago. The Bulls  beat the Miami Heat (95-88) in overtime Sunday after Jimmy Butler blocked LeBron James at the end of regulation.

With his 20 points, prescription 12 rebounds, 7 assists and five blocks Joakim Noah was not playing any games.

“I want what they have — a championship,” Noah said. “One day, we’re going to have to get through those guys.” Yes we can, Jo-No. Yes we can.

The Golden State Warriors recently teamed up with the Men’s Wearhouse to offer limited-edition Joseph Abboud sport coats. Each jacket is individually-numbered with the Warriors brand interior lining.

The Warriors and Men’s Wearhouse hosted Pop-Up Fitting Studio Nights at Oracle Arena on Sunday, March 9 (against the Phoenix Suns) and Tuesday, March 11 (against Dallas the Mavericks) . They will host one more on Friday, March 14 (against  the Cleveland Cavaliers). The suits are only available during these fittings. Here we go with the sleeved jerseys again! I guess the madness will never stop. The Boston Celtics have recently unveiled a special Saint Patrick’s Day jersey. The solid green jersey has “Celtics” in bold gold letters across the front and a gold trim around the neck. These jerseys are paired with green shorts that have gold trimming along the sides.

James Harden’s Rodeo Inspired Outfit

The Houston Rodeo is the world’s largest livestock show that takes place from March 4-23. It’s no wonder that James Harden arrived at the Toyota Center looking like he was ready to ride a bull! On Friday night, Harden rocked a  white button up and paired it with a 10 gallon hat. Harden’s getup certainly did not interfere with his performance against the Pacers that night. He led the way with 28 points 4 rebounds 4 assists and 3 steals.

“We’ve been playing well since the beginning of the new year. We’ve kind of gotten a feel for each other and we have gotten better. Our guys are healthy. O(mer Asik) has been back and Pat(rick Beverley). The guys are just playing at a high level.” (NBA.com)

Vanessa Bryant’s Chanel Clutch

Vanessa Bryant often uses social media to express her love for Coco Chanel. Who could blame her? Bryant recently Instagrammed a photograph of her fabulous Chanel clutch and Yves Saint Laurent spiked boots. I wish that her husband’s season with the Lakers was just  as fabulous.

Kobe Bryant has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2013-2014 season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kobe missed the beginning of the season because he was recovering from his Achilles injury. He returned and played six games before sustaining from a fractured lateral tibial plateau in his left knee.

“Obviously this has been a frustrating and disappointing season, but I appreciate all the support I’ve received from the Lakers and the fans, and look forward to being back and ready for the start of training camp,” Bryant said in a statement released by the team. (Pro Basketball Talk)

That’s it for now Divas! No worries.  I will definitely be back to keep you fabulously posted on the hottest court side chic!

¿Cómo están, order Divas?  In “growing of support” of fans across Latin America and Hispanic communities, the NBA has unveiled the sleeved “Latin Nights” uniform. They will be worn by six teams, which include the Chicago Bulls (Los Bulls),  the Miami Heat (El Heat), the Los Angeles Lakers (Los Lakers), the New York Knicks (Nueva York), the San Antonio  Spurs (Los Spurs), and the Phoenix Suns (Los Suns). All of the teams will also wear special Adidas Latin Nights pre-game shooting shirts over the next two weeks.

Marvel Designs Super LeBron Mask

After LeBron James’ groundbreaking 61 points against the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday night, Marvel’s Greg Land designed a hero mask to match his outworldish basketball super powers.

James originally broke his nose last month, during a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder when Serge Ibaka tried to block a dunk. Apparently, his nose cannot seem to catch a break (or can it?). Dwight Howard accidentally elbowed him on Tuesday night, when they lost to the Houston Rockets . No worries, the mask was on!

Chris Paul at Oscars’ Vanity Fair Party

Los Angeles was the land of fabulous ensembles during Oscars weekend. Chris Paul was one of the many athletes spotted at the star-studded events. He attended the Vanity Fair party  with his stunning wife, Jada Crawley. CP3 looked royal in his navy blue tux, and Jada looked ravishing in a bold red gown.

The Clippers’ Point Guard apparently had a ball (see what I did there?). He poses for an Instagram photograph with Barkhad Abdi and Faysal Ahmed of Oscar nominated film, Captain Phillips.

Chris Paul was recently named Los Angeles’ Sportsman of the year. “I’m blessed,” Paul said. “I get a chance to play basketball every day and say that’s my way of life. (FOX Sports).

The Sportswoman of the Year awards went to WNBA MVP Candace Parker and swimmer Diana Nyad.

Lance Stephenson’s AND1 ‘Lance-a-Lent’ Sneakers

sir lance a lent sneakers

Lance Stephenson was definitely feeling the spirit of Mardi Gras! The Pacers Shooting guard sported a wild pair of ‘Sir Lance-A-Lent’ Sneakers on Tuesday night’s game against the Golden State Warriors. The Aqua Mid PE shoes make me lancestephensonwant to give out beads just by looking at them! Lance and his festive sneakers  ended up losing the game (98-96). The Pacers also went on to lose (87-109) to the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday night. Yup, you read that right. Charlotte’ s star player, Al Jefferson certainly did not want another ‘L’ on the team’s record.

“I’m not accepting that we’re a team that guys look at on the schedule anymore and say, ‘OK, we have the Bobcats (so) we can take the night off.” Jefferson said. (ESPN).

Forever 21 and NBA to Team up

Calling all fabulous Sportsanistas! The NBA has recently teamed up with Forever 21 to design a chic new collection of women’s gear. The collection features various pieces including body hugging t-dresses, crop jerseys and sports bras.

The collection will be available in-stores and online at Forever21.com on March 7th.

That’s it for now divas! I will definitely be back next week to dish on more NBA style and hot gossip. As always, I will keep you fabulously posted!

The Blackhawks are back, try and along with the rest of the city (and Blackhawk nation), we couldn’t be happier. Our city can’t stop buzzing about our Stanley Cup Champs, and Saturday night’s Stadium Series at Soldier Field was a fine welcome home for the guys.

On Saturday, the Hawks dominated the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stadium Series at Soldier Field, winning 5-1 in their first matchup with the East-leading Penguins this season. It was incredible to see the Hawks play through the snow and cold in the home of the Bears. Despite all the action over the weekend, the Hawks kept the posts coming on social media and shared some of their favorite moments with all of their adorning fans.

Andrew Shaw shared this picture (above) of some of our favorite Hawks via Instagram. He posed with Toews, Leddy and Saad. We must say, nice legs boys…. “What a great experience had a lot of fun!”

On Friday night the Hawks spent the evening with their families out at Soldier Field. Bryan Bickell posted this picture with his dad from the family night. “Had to help the old man with his skates yesterday. #funwiththefamily”

Here are some of our favorite Twitter pics from the Hawks and their WAGs on Friday night:

Typically we have a separate section for our WAGs and their posts, but this week we’re keeping them together. Our WAGs shared some great pictures and Tweets from the Stadium Series, starting with some advice from Amanda Bickell:

Elina Casell Hjalmarsson who sat inside a toasty suite at Soldier Field (can’t blame her) on Saturday night, posted this picture of her view at the game. “Feel so bad for everyone outside in the snow! #snowing #soldierfield #chicago #outside #game #blackhawks”

Elina also shared this picture of her game-time snack. “I got all I need here. #popcorn #hockey”

The @NHLBlackhawks instagrammed this picture of pre-game Kaner. “Patrick Kane (he’s that guys behind all the snowflakes) takes part in warmups. #stadiumseries”

Brandon Bollig shared this awesome picture of himself at the game. “#StadiumSeries”

Before we move on to the Bears, we had to share this picture of Elina and her baby bump and daddy’s sliver medal. “SO proud of baby daddy for winning the silver in the Olympics. Baby’s first medal pic #olympics #sochi2014 #hockey #sweden”

Moving on, our Bears have been enjoying their off-season, and certainly picked the right time to escape the cold and snow in Chicago. Stephen Paea ditched the snow for a trip to Cabo. “Destination: Cabo San Lucas #Mexico”

Brandon and Michi Marshall spent some time with the Bible this week. “Cool Bible study at Starbucks… @mrsmichmarshall”

Meanwhile, Kyle Long and Matt Forte are making plans for next season….

And Kyle Long is already starting to plan rules for his future daughter…we wonder what his beef is with Lululemon? Anyone know?

Our Bulls usually leave us hanging, as they continue to dominate offensively and defensively on the court, but Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah finally shared some tweets this week.

We might as well add a K-Cav section to the weekly roundup. The beautiful Kristin Cavallari isn’t letting her pregnacy slow her down. She shared this adorable picture with Camden and Jay earlier in the week. “Been having a beautiful, relaxing family va-cay. Thanks @mikoh_ for the perfect preggers bathing suit”

On Sunday, Kristin looked stunning while helping E! with the pre-Oscar coverage. “Had a great time helping countdown to the Oscars on E! I loved my Alexander McQueen dress.. felt like a princess”

Then later changed up her look for the after party. “Changed into Balmain for the Elton John party”

Alexander McQueen and Balmain? K-Cav definitely gets our vote for Chicago’s best dressed at the Oscars. Thanks for representing, K-Cav.

That’s all we have for you this week divas. Have a wonderful week and catch us back here next Monday!

And…we’re back with more things that made me chuckle. But first, sales here’s a great video of Kevin Hart versus the Manchester United goalie Joe Hart.

They have the same last name. Hey maybe they’re related!

Ritchie Incognito being Ritchie Incognito

“See, cure what had happened was….” Photo credit: Business Insider

I’m pretty over this whole Ritchie Incognito story, store but I found this marginally entertaining. So apparently he’s got some anger issues (wait, what?) that are so severe (OMG really?) that he took a bat to his Ferrari in a fit of rage. Personally, I’m shocked that a person who uses inappropriate language and has threatened to kill someone has problem with rage. Huh. Would have never guessed.

Look, I’m not a car groupie. Although I know the difference between a Porsche and Pontiac, I just don’t give a sh!t. With that said, aren’t Ferrari’s like half a million dollars? I would Google that, but naw I’m good. If I had a car that was more expensive than my house, I wouldn’t throw a temper tantrum and muck it up with a bat…no matter how rich I am.

In an effort to understand people more – and because my 30th birthday is looming and I figure I should try to find this elusive thing called “maturity” – I’m going to rationalize this out.

Nope. I got nothing.

Quick Hits

This is a new section where the basics of the story just themselves. Because sometimes a photo really does speak a thousand words. And we’ll start with a news network that mixed up two gay black men because, well obvi. Hey CNN, not all black people look alike! Who should be more offended here: black people or gay people? Or America in general for shotty journalism on the third best news network?

Jason Collins plays basketball. That guy is clearly in a football uniform (and he’s also clearly Michael Sam). CNN: where great journalism happens.

Les Miles, LSU’s head football coach, got a commitment from a 13 year old. Yes. College football is that big of a deal. Does this kid even have facial hair yet?

Dylan Moses – an 8th grader – get’s a scholarship to play football at LSU. Photo credit: Bleacher Report

Syracuse loses to Duke. Syracuse coach, Jim Boeheim loses his sh!t and gets escorted out by the police. No really.

A minor-league baseball team has bacon-themed uniforms. Not a typo. Wait what was that? PETA is on line two? Uh oh….

Ummmmm….???? Photo credit: Twitter (of course)

And last, but definitely not least, Rich Eisen finally breaks a six-second 40-yard dash! Only to be embarrassed by his performance through modern technology. Jewish Vanilla – what a good sport!

Sharleen vs. Andi: who dumped Juan Pablo better?

Sharleen meeting Juan Pablo. What the hell was she doing on this show?

Yeah, you knew it was coming. Look, I get why Andi bowed out. Juan Pablo seems pretty self absorbed and stupid. And this isn’t a language barrier, this is a personality flaw. With that said, the fact that Andi wasted all that time trying to get him to understand her feelings when he clearly gave no shits about your feelings in the first place made me yearn for Sharleen, the dignified opera singer who left with a whole lot less fuss.

Sharleen knew he was idiot. She also knew he was hot. So she stuck around long enough to make out with him, teach him a few English phrases and then left when it mattered (before he met her family because…please). So Sharleen, thank you for bowing out with class and being there for the right reasons: the travel.
