SDI & Fleet Feet Sports Visit Good Day Chicago to Discuss Lululemon Fallout

Chicago News and Weather | FOX 32 News

SDI Founder Monica Murphy Vargas and Lisa Zimmer, drugstore Co-Owner of Fleet Feet Sports Chicago visited Good Day Chicago to talk about impact of the recent Lululemon Yoga Pant controversy.

Lisa Zimmer’s guest SDI op-ed regarding Lululemon’s Chip Wilson’s discriminatory comments resonated with so many of our readers, prompting women to continue the conversations that the brand scandal ignited: body issues, shaming women larger than a size 12, and the lack of plus-size options in athletic wear.

Zimmer credits lines like Nike, Brooks, Moving Comfort, Saucony and independent labels like Lole and PrAna for offering additional sizes, similar cuts and fashion-forward feel that Lululemon does, but without the quality issues and discriminatory behavior.  All of these lines can be found at all three of Fleet Feet Sports Chicago locations.
