SM Roundup: Martellus Bennett Uses Pregnancy Pillows, Derrick Rose Returns & Shaw Buys a ‘Vette

It’s another recovery-mode Monday soaked in weekend withdrawal after a busy sports week that ended with another Bears loss.

This past week was jam packed with social media postings from the Bulls, doctor Bears and Blackhawks and of course, malady the women who love them. Let’s dive into it…

Derrick Rose made his highly anticipated return on Saturday night with the Bulls for their first pre-season victory against the Indiana Pacers. Meanwhile, the Blackhawks and the Bears both came out with losses over the weekend. Let’s start with the Bears as yesterday’s loss against the Saints is still fresh.

The injured Henry Melton posted the above picture shortly after the game. “Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional. #beardown”

After the game current HAM Kyle Long posed with fellow rookie, Kenny Stills. “@athleticgaines rookies today after the game thanks @jjlewis06 for the picture”

Brandon Marshall, who was his normal vocal self after the Bears loss yesterday, posted a post-game positive picture. “Tough one today. Good thing we have a short turn around. #Beardown… on to the next one.”

Earlier in the week, Brandon Marshall sat down with the one and only Mike Ditka. “Chatting with the legend. #IronMike”

Earl Bennett’s little cutie stopped by the locker room this week. “EJ said he believe in Monsters!!! #babymonster #putmeincoach #hangingoutwithdad”

O.K. ladies, get ready for this one…Chris Conte and some of the guys posted this hilarious picture on Friday. “White guy Friday #instaStr8Flexin #theFewTheProud

Martellus Bennett is enjoying his wife Siggi’s pregnancy a little too much. “@siggib knew she had to get me a pregnancy pillow too. So awesome. Feels like Jesus is holding me.”

But not all the weekend social media was focused on the Bears. Lance Briggs tweeted about Derrick Rose’s return.

Of corse the Chicago Bulls Instagram posted a well-received picture of Derrick on the court. “Welcome back, Derrick.” Don’t forget the Bulls play Memphis tonight at 7:00. The post received 45,278 likes. Wow.

The Blackhawks also made their return this past week. The Blackhawks Instagram posted this picture of the Banner ceremony. “One of our favorite shots from #raisethebanner2013”

Andrew Shaw treated himself to a much deserved new car. “New vette got to love it.”

Shaw also stopped by the aquarium with a few of the guys and his girlfriend this week.

Our WAGs section is getting bigger each week. If you have the inside scoop on any Chicago WAGs, please pass it along! Amanda Bickell tweeted this week about the never-ending wedding responsibilities…

Amanda also posted this pic of a Ferrari that left us wondering if the car was a gift from her husband or something she just spotted and fell in love with. This post left us guessing: “In love!!!! #Ferrari”  We’ll be watching this one closely to see if future posts in a white Ferarri convertible pop up anytime soon.

Siggi Bennett wasn’t very happy with Martellus’ moves on the field yesterday..”Soooo my husband did this today during the game and damn near sent me into cardiac arrest. Thanks, baby.”

She still made sure to show off her game day look and her growing baby bump! “Heeeey there, Lil A.Bennett”

Lastly, Kristin Cavallari posted about little Camden Cutler’s Bears look. “Orange and blue, baby! Wish we were there!!!! 🙁 ”

That’s all we have for you this week, divas! We’ll see you back here next Monday!
