K-Cav Debuts NFL Inspired Junk Food Line at Fashion Week

The Cutlers have been quite the over-acheiving couple this month: Jay with his back-to-back come from behind wins to take the Bears to a 2-0 start to the season, cialis sale and wife Kristin, curating her own NFL-inspirted line for Junk Food Clothing last week at New York’s Fashion Week.

While the rest of Chicago media is praising Jay Cutler today on his improved ability to lead the Bears offense, let’s turn our focus to Mrs. Cutler, and her recently debuted capsule collection for Junk Food Clothing.

We’ve been aware of Kristin’s plans to create an NFL-inspired collection for quite some time and were thrilled to finally see it launch last week at none other than Fashion Week in New York and right in time for the start of the NFL regular season. Check out all of the looks from Kristin’s collection on Junk Food Clothing’s Blog.

I’ll leave the official fashion reviews to truly talented and fashion-versed (check out a Glam Slam’s review of the collection) but, I will mention that I personally found the collection to be refreshing, sexy, unique and actually wearable.

As much as I love my vintage Bears tees with the skinny jeans and my go-to leather boots as my staple look, I would absolutely wear these pieces to the right destination to mix things up while turning heads.

If rocking a mini-spandex Bears dress to the bar on Sunday or to Soldier Field isn’t in your plans, the dress could easily be thrown over skinnies or leggings for a more causal game day look. However, this dress screams to be worn out on a Friday night during Bears season. Isn’t that the whole point of a collection like this – one that blends high fashion and sport? These pieces can and should be worn everywhere and not just on game day.

Personally, I like the Steelers floor length maxi dress and I LOVE the Packers retro fitted sweater. It was nice of Kristin to design something so fabulous and actually wearable for our enemies up north.

Unfortunately, as with most runway looks, we’ll be hard pressed to find any of these pieces on the racks in Chicago. I’m using the looks in this collection as inspiration to take my fashion fandom to the next level. I only wish that K-Cav would have considered a Chicago date to debut her collection here as well.

With this ambitious and highly publicized Junk Food line, and her continued success with her shoe collection, I can only imagine that K-Cav will continue to make her mark on the fashion world. Personally, I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next and I’m publicly and wishfully hoping it will be a limited collection of fashion forward tees and slouchy sweatshirts for the 2014 Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bears.
