#TheReturn of Derrick Rose

Buzz Factor

It may only be preseason, but when Derrick Rose participates in shooting practice before game time, we can’t help but get excited about the upcoming season and the eventual return of our beloved point guard.

If you haven’t seen the new Adidas campaign surrounding Rose’s return to the game, get ready for some goosebumps! Adidas was right on the money with their latest TV commercial “Wake Up” which accurately depicts the emotions fans and teammates experienced the moment Rose hit the floor tearing his ACL.

The commercial instills hope in every Chicago Bulls fan as Derrick Rose embarks on his journey through rehab. The message “all in for D Rose” let’s us know he’s giving it everything he’s got to get back on the court for his city.

Even though Rose may not be on the court until later this season or possibly not at all, the Adidas marketing team has done a fabulous job keeping Rose a relevant icon in the media. He’s literally everywhere you look, TV commercials, Youtube channels, twitter campaigns, launching the D Rose 3 collection (we’re talking shoes, shorts, shirts, hats – the WORKS). You cannot turn a corner in Chicago without seeing something to do with the return of Derrick Rose and we love it. He is the Bulls superstar and the city is behind him 100%.

If you’re a Rose fan, I highly suggest watching Adidas’ The Return of D Rose episodes. The campaign definitely lifts your broken Bulls spirits a bit. The videos reinforce the idea that as a city we can’t lose hope now, D Rose will be back, he’ll be bigger, better and stronger than ever.

So far there have been four installments, the latest (episode 4) was released last Thursday along with the D Rose 3 collection.

Episode 1: Belief

Episode 2: Hope

Episode 3: Focus

Episode 4: Push
