Good day Sportsanistas! After a week of sulking and mourning over my Mountaineer’s loss, I’m ready to get back into the football spirit, and nothing puts me more in the football mood than a night game under the lights!
Monday Night Football is back in Chicago! Today the Detroit Lions come to town to battle the Monsters of the Midway for the second of three Bear’s appearances on Monday Night Football this year. The Bears have had 15 days of rest between their bye week and their win against Jacksonville in Week 6. The long wait in between Bears games has fans eager and the city pumped up with energy for Monday Night Football on the lakefront.
Football on a school night?! What could be better?! Better yet…….what does one wear to a late October night game? Since I work gamedays at Soldier Field, I don’t get to indulge much in Chicago Bears Fashion when it’s a home game. I’m all business casualed out….styled to a T of course!
This week, since I won’t be able to wear my gameday look at work, I thought I’d check out a few new looks for game night. Night games are a whole different animal than day games. It’s the struggle of trying to look cute and wearing supportive colors…all while NOT trying to look like the brother from A Christmas Story. Really, the priority here is fashion. Beauty is pain, remember that.
Here I used the puffer vest as my staple and paired it with two options for a night game…..What’s 50 degrees in a dress when you have boots to mind the gap….easy peasy! OR try the equestrian look with denim and a gingham top! Winner winner chicken dinner!
