Combining sporting events and nightlife can be a woman’s worst nightmare when it comes to figuring out what in the hell to wear. You want to support the team and show that you’re a fan, but you also want to look good and be properly dressed for all that the evening could bring.
Faced with this very dilemma before heading out to Happy Hour to watch the Bulls/76ers Game 3 with friends (and a start-up budget that doesn’t include Ford models), I decided to use my own favorite Bulls tee to showcase 5 different options for a night out.
Option #1: Throw a colorful blazer over the Bulls tee with black skinny jeans. I happen to have one in a fuchsia color that works well-enough with the scarlet red in the Bulls logo. Roll up the sleeves, strappy heels and you’re out the door.
Option #2: Tribal skirt and boots. Playing off the tribal trend – this look is bold but fun. Throw in a pair of casual boots to tone it down and bring the two different looks together. The red in the skirt picks up the Bulls logo. You can easily throw a blazer or jean jacket over this for cooler nights.
Option #3: Bright skinny jeans. The colorful skinny jean craze is here to stay so might as well rock the Bulls tee with your favorite pair. I threw in espadrilles sandals – pushing the season a bit with 50 degree weather – but the black straps bring the look together.
Option #4: White blazer saves the day. What woman doesn’t have a white blazer that makes every outfit just work? Same goes with sports tees and denim. I threw on a skinny red belt to finish the outfit – black boots and whala! We won’t even address the fallacy of no white before MDW.
Option #5: With a baby – the ultimate accessory. While I’m not suggesting heading to Happy Hour with your infant (although I’m guilty of hitting a sports bar with the babies in final minutes of a game) – the point is, you don’t have to GO out to watch the game – you can have a very Happy Hour at home watching with your loved ones, babies, boyfriends, whomever – and still rock the Bulls tee.
Until our next home-fashion show – or the next big game – Go Bulls!
