Derrick Rose, once again proved his MVP status as he sunk the game-winning shot last night in the final seconds of the game to secure the win for the Bulls over the Milwaukee Bucks, 106-104.

What You Need to Know:

  • A shot of this dramatic nature – with the game on the line in the final seconds – is called a buzzer-beater
  • The Milwaukee Bucks kept the Bulls working all night and led in points several times throughout the game, making this win and dramatic climax, that much-more buzz-worthy
  • This is the Bulls 8th win in a row – helping the Bulls maintain the best record in the NBA at 33-8 (33 wins/8 losses)

Your Take-Away Piece: “This buzzer-beater, in addition to Rose’s 30 points last night, definitely put Rose back in the race for MVP again this year.”  (Rose won the prestigious NBA MVP last season – the youngest MVP in NBA history.  He’s already on the short list again for this season’s MVP – making back-to-back MVP awards a possibility).

What’s Next:  No rest for the Bulls as they come back home to Chicago and play their third game this week tonight against a very good Orlando Magic team, led by NBA-star and amazing specimen of a man, Dwight Howard (pictured).

Dwight Howard

Tonight’s game against Orlando begins a 6-game home stretch for the Bulls which is great news, considering the Bulls are a remarkable 15-2 at home.  The Bulls face LeBron and the Miami Heat on Wednesday, 3/14.  This will be their toughest match-up to date and is must-see TV.
